Jude turned 4 months old today! He has gotten so big and has changed so much. He has two teeth on the bottom and his hair is starting to turn from red to blond. He is starting to eat "real" food now. He loves pears. I love my little man.

Our friend, Susan Wyant, took pictures of Jude a few weeks ago. She did a great job, and we are so excited about them. You can look at them if you want.Go to http://artandsoul.instaproofs.com/. Then pick Jude's name and type in Wade's email address. It is wtaylor@cellularsouth.com. Susan did a great job with Jude. She was so patient and worked well with him even though he was a little fussy. We loved having her over and taking Jude's pictures.

Jude's Smile

Jude is two months old.

Jude turned two months old on Sunday, April 14, 2009. On Monday, I took him to see Dr.Rohman. He weighed 11 lbs. and 9 oz. (50 percentile), was 22 1/4 inches long (25 percentile), and his head measured 38 1/2 cm (25 percentile). He is getting so big. (His hair is growing, too, and we know this because his mohawk falls over now. Poor Wade! He works so hard on Jude's hair. It cracks me up!) Everything was well. He is growing bigger and stronger everyday. After the nurse measured and weighed him and Dr. Rohman checked him, the nurse gave him two shots. He was so good! He only cried for a second while he was getting the shots. After they were over and he had two big, blue band-aids on his leg, he went to sleep. He slept for the rest of the day. Wade and I were sad to see those band-aids on his legs. You spend the whole time trying to protect him and keep him safe, but you take him to the doctor to get shots. We felt horrible, but we know it is better in the long run!
He is really starting to smile now. If Wade and I are silly enough, we can even get him to do this high-pitched kind of squeal. It's his laugh. Its so cute and makes us laugh. Wade caught him smiling on video. I am going to try and post it along with some two month pictures.

One Month Old

Jude turned one month old today. I can't believe that it has already been a month. He is starting to open both eyes and leave them open for a while before he goes back to sleep. Its amazing how he is already taking in his surroundings. He looks so curious. Jude is trying to hold his head up, and he seems to be getting stronger everyday. He is a good baby!!

The Incredible Shrinking Baby

Nanny and I took Jude to his 2 week appointment. Dr. Rohman was so sweet to him. I loved how gentle she is, and that she was willing to answer ALL of my questions. (First time moms have so many.) Jude was great at the doctor. He didn't mind when they checked him over even though it was so cold in the office. He was such a sweet baby. Dr. Rohman said everything looked great! They took his measurments again. He was 7 pounds 12 ounces. (almost his birth weight :)!) However, he apparently shrunk an inch. The nurses at the hospital measured him as 21 inches, but the nurse today measured him at 20. I guess everyone's measurements are a little different. I'm sure it's pretty tough to measure wiggly babies. He is in the 25th percentile. I guess that means he is small. That's ok though. He will get bigger soon. Let's not rush it though!

One Week Old

I can't believe Jude is already a week old (yesterday). Everyone keeps telling me how much he will change in the next weeks, and of course we want him to grow big and strong, but I love him just the way he is right now!! He is so tiny and sweet! I keep trying to convince myselp that I'm bored, so time will pass by slowly. It's amazing how quckly each day flies by when your holding your baby. Being a mommy is wonderful!!!

Baby Jude is finally here!! He came a little earlier than we expected, but we are so glad that he is here. I went to the doctor on Tuesday, April 14. Dr. Carroll decided to keep me. I was overwhelmed when he said, "I guess we are having a baby today!" I called Wade, and he met me at St. Dominic's (because he was still at work.) He actually beat me to labor and delivery because I got lost going to the 5th floor. I guess I was a little nervous. It was a long day. Wade and I had a hard time being patient. We were just ready to see our baby. I guess our family was anxious too, because they started a pool. It included gender, hair/no hair, weight, and time of arrival. I think NaNa and Kim actually tied. After all of the waiting, Jude finally arrived at 11:54 p.m. on April 14. . He weighed 7 pounds and 14 oz. He was 21 inches long and had a head full of brown hair. We were so happy. Baby Jude was much more than we could have ever imagined. It has only been four days since his arrival, and I can't remember what it was like without him. He is our little angel!!

Baby's Room

Here are a few pictures of the baby's bedding. Isn't it cute? Wade and I really loved this one because we thought it would be perfect for a baby girl or baby boy. Wade told his mom that we were building a nest this week, and I guess we did. He even helped me hang up the valance and tied cute little bows around the curtain rod. We are both getting excited about our new baby!

Spring Break

Matthew, Molly, and Emily Kay came over for dinner tonight. We had a lot of fun together and even got to see Emily Kay take a couple of steps. I can't believe she is so close to walking!!! Matthew and Molly also helped us figure out our video camera and how to post pictures and videos. So here is my first shot! I hope it works. This is a video from Christmas. It is our dogs playing with their "Loco Mouse". Hopefully, we will have baby videos in a few more weeks.
34 down...6 to go. Wade took Spring Break off with me. We worked on our baby's room, and I think we are finally finished. I'll take some pictures of our little baby's room and try to post them soon!

Our first post!

Wade and I decided its about time we start blogging since our little baby will be here soon. I guess we'd better learn now because I'm sure things will be extremely busy once our baby gets here. So this is our first and very awkward shot at blogging. Hopefully, we will get better at this soon.
